Philosophy of Care

Our goal is to form a trusting partnership. Whatever your goals are, we want to do all that we can to help you get there. If we agree that the best way to help may be with medications, let’s do that. However, as helpful as psychiatric medications are for many people, they are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Our philosophy is to be holistic as often as possible. We will often incorporate psychotherapeutic techniques to help with problem-solving and common social issues. We may discuss diet and physical activity and see if any evidence-based changes can be made in those areas to improve mental health. The role of spirituality in mental health may be addressed. Naturopathic and herbal options may be considered. Overall, we believe there are countless factors contributing to the mental health and emotional wellness of a person, so we will take a holistic and flexible approach to your care.
